How does the METAK water leak detection system work?
The Water Leak Sensor detects leaks, triggers a local alarm, and sends a signal to the connected W13 gateway. The gateway activates the corresponding ringtone and sends a real-time notification to your phone, keeping you informed.
Does the gateway support 5GHz Wi-Fi?
No, the gateway only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and is not compatible with 5GHz networks. Therefore, if your WiFi setting is a mixed frequency of 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, please set the WiFi router to use the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequency bands separately.
Does the app notification service require a fee?
TUYA app push notification is free—such as alerts appear on your phone’s notification bar and lock screen. However, SMS and call alerts are charged by a third-party TUYA publisher, not METAK. Please consider your needs before enabling these services.
Can I customize the alerts and volume?
Yes, both the sensor and gateway allow you to adjust the alarm volume (Mute Support). The gateway also offers 32 ringtones for different alerts.
How many sensors (Model: WD61) can be connected to the gateway?
The gateway (Model: W13) can connect up to 24 sensors (Model: WD61). Please note, do not buy the wrong sensor model. The sensor model that supports expansion is WD61, not WD60 (the low-version sensor in this store, WD60 does not support WiFi gateway)
