Buddy, the evolving collection of Los Angeles-based musicians lead by a man named Buddy, returns with their sophomore release and with it a subtle transformation from cinematic, singer-songwriting, self-proclaimed ”wimpy core” to ”fully realized orchestral pop, both lush and evocative” (Kevin Bronson – Buzzbands LA). Last Call For The Quiet Life arrived after a healthy amount of soul-searching and scrapping of an initial follow-up to the band’s 2007 release Alterations and Repairs, which brought the band much love from the Film and TV world, as well as support from music press and local tastemakers KCRW.
