How it works: The exit sensor will automatically activate the gate opening system and open the gate when a vehicle comes within 12 feet. The system includes a range adjustment plate that allows you to turn a knob to adjust the sensitivity range from 2 to 12 feet, preventing lawn movement and other metal objects from accidentally opening the gate!
Design Professional: The Gate Exit Wand Sensor supports third-party door operators supplied with 12 – 24 VDC or 12 – 24VAC auxiliary power from the control board and features normally open and dry contact signal inputs!
Installation : The Vehicle Exit Sensor is installed by digging a hole approximately 2 inches deep and 24 inches long within 2 feet parallel to the edge of the driveway. From this hole dig a trench to a location under the gate opener control box and use a cable link to the control box (the width of the trench is determined by the width of the PVC conduit). Perform several tests before burying the unit to avoid a poor fit and reinstallation!
