I can't rave about this smart thermostat enough. It is expensive, but works flawlessly. I was corresponding with tech support for another smart thermostat company for 2 months and still never got it to connect to my system, where this connect immediately, reconnects automatically whenever the need arises, stays connected, is easy to program, runs my heater perfectly, etc., etc. Just perfect. Flawless. I'm one extremely satisfied customer. EDIT/UPDATE 3/27/2022: I just went through my first New Hampshire winter with this device. I am even MORE pleased as a result. Completely consistent and flawless performance. Kept my outdoor shed exactly where I wanted it at all times. Was able to make adjustments from afar. Love it without reservation.

    This thermostat works perfect for my bathroom, i have it connected to a 120v, but is easy to connect if you have 240v, the wifi connection is a little tricky but if you follow the instructions step-by-step you will be able to success, wifi only works with 2.4ghz
    Fortunately i have both choices, i tried others but i decided to stay with this Model # K902-W
    It comes with instructions, just follow the steps

    run away heat

    So I had the heater wired by an electrician then added this later to be able to control the heat remotely. It worked fine for about a week, maybe two. Then the heat just wouldn't shut off. We have it in a house we rent during the summer but keep it open all winter and wanted to keep the basement from dropping below freezing. Long story short, I couldn't get the unit to drop and it was above 75 degrees and climbing over a two day period. I had to make the 4 hour trip to disconnect the unit. I haven't been able to troubleshoot as of yet.

    Screen is very responsive but it does some interesting things when you press on it. App does the job but is a little basic. What more should it do? Maybe power usage? Better graphics?     Purchased 3 of these for a rental property.
    First issue- Doesn't connect to 2.4 Ghz wifi as stated. My internet company tech support told me that it was the device that had a issue connecting, not their service. All other devices would connect to 2.4 GHz without a issue.
    Second issue- Device would constantly freeze where the touchscreen did not work. Had to constantly turn off the breaker to get it to operate again.
    Third issue- Only 30 day return policy. By the time you order it to get it professionally installed, the 30 days is past and you can't return. Stuck with a devices that doesn't work. I am out almost $500 since I ordered three.
    Fourth issue- contacted company and no response back. They don't care they sold lemons.

    Upped the temerature game considerably

    I installed this to control my 240v 1ph heater over a month ago in our ceramics and woodworking studio. The switch on my Cadet heater is somewhat thermostatically controlled, but never was able to maintain a constant temperature in the space, especially a problem in the morning after a significant nighttime cold snap. By establishing Hoot-timed temperature settings, the studio begins to warm before I enter in the morning, and maintains a constant temperature all throughout the day, and lowers the temperature in the evening– saving electrical cost through the night. No more constant messing with the Cadet control switch. Any skepticism I had has disappeared. The cost reduction of electrical energy will, I'm sure, pay for this in not too long, and the added comfort in the space makes the studio work go easier.

    WiFi won’t connect!

    Installed for about a month but could never get it to connect to WiFi. As a plain old thermostat, it’s fine. It does the job. But I paid a lot more because I wanted to be able to monitor the temp remotely sincerely the heaters it powers are in our primary bedroom. I thought it might just be out of range but it’s only one floor down and every other device, (Roku, phones, tablets) connects without fail and we have plenty more bandwidth to go around. Even made sure we set the router to connect to it on the right frequency. Nothing. And now we’re stuck with it because I’m not about to play around with it on my own but I’m also not calling an electrician to come back out.
