How does installation work?

The Vue installs in your home’s electrical panel using CT sensor clamps that go around your mains and the other circuits you wish to monitor. DIY instructions included, but a professional electrician is highly recommended.

What do the sensors do?

Add individual 50A sensors to your Vue to monitor up to 16 individual circuits — providing accurate energy use for the appliances and equipment that is important to you. No guesswork. Just simple, easy, and accurate insight into your home.

Can I measure Solar Net Metering without extra hardware?

Solar net metering is built right into the Emporia Vue. The Emporia app will show when and how much excess energy you are producing back to the grid — giving you insights into the impact of your solar panels as they relate to your energy use.

Will Smart Plugs work with the Vue?

Yes! Emporia Smart Plugs can be added to your Vue system to help you monitor the energy of lighting and small appliances, but to also set timers, schedules, and turn them on and off from anywhere, any time with the Emporia app.

What are the electrical system requirements?

The Vue home energy monitor supports either single-phase up to 240VAC line-neutral; single, split-phase 120/240VAC; and three-phase up to 415Y/240VAC (no Delta).

Installs in circuit panel of most small businesses with clamp-on sensors. Supports Single phase, Single-split phase, and 2-wire systems. 3-wire systems; 3-phase, 4-wire Wye systems with earthed (TN or TT) neutral (no-Delta) are supported with an additional 200A sensor (sold separately).

The Vue 3 is UL and CE Listed for your safety. 1 second data is only available in the app (when actively open) and retained 3 hours. Minute and hour data are retained in the cloud. 1 minute data is retained 7 days, 1 hour data is retained indefinitely. Export cloud data whenever you want in the app.
Appliance Monitoring Without Guesswork: Comes with eight branch (50A) sensors to accurately monitor your critical loads like air conditioner, furnace, water heater, washer, dryer, range, etc. New and improved screw terminals / ports allow CT wires to be trimmed to reduce panel clutter.
