FAQ
Q: My machine is not frothing milk.
A: If you are using the insulated milk container, please unscrew the lid slightly so that it is not so tight. This will solve the problem most of the time. You can also remove the milk frother from the machine and make sure the knob is pointing to the “+” sign.
Q: My coffee is not hot enough.
A: Your coffee, without milk, should be 160 °F to 170 °F and milk-based drinks should be 145 °F to 155 °F. You can get to the higher side of theses ranges by pre-warming your milk and/or coffee mug prior to making your coffee. If your coffee is outside of this range, there is an adjustment that our support staff can help walk you through.
Q: The machine is showing an error message.
A: This machine has built in AI and will notify you when action needs to be taken. An error message does not mean that the unit is defective, but rather the owner needs to perform maintenance or some other action (for example, empty the water tray, empty coffee grounds, etc.). We can help walk you through any error message that you receive.
Q: My machine shows a fill bean error even though it is full of coffee beans.
A: Coffee beans are generally the same size, but there are some variations in size which could cause the machine to think that it is empty. This is a very easy fix. In order to adjust this sensitivity, please go to the menu and select the “Calibrate” option. Enter code 67 and click enter. Then input 5 and click enter. If you see the fill beans light again while using these beans, please go back in and set it to 6. Please be careful not to adjust this higher than one step at a time, and you may have to readjust back down if you switch coffee beans. Also, please never set it to 9 because this could cause damage to the machine.
Q: My machine keeps shutting off.
A: This is the built-in sleep timer. This is an energy saving feature and can be adjusted. Please reference section 4.3.2 of your user manual. This setting can be set to put the machine into sleep mode in as little as 30 minutes after you make a drink, up to many hours after you make a drink. To wake the machine up, please tap the screen and the machine will go through its startup procedure.
